🌦️ WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY!

💸 Refund Policy

A 100% refund is available if 5mm or more of rain is forecasted during your event hours — as reported by The Weather Network. To cancel, please email steve@castlekid.ca at least 72 hours in advance.

Note: If you paid by credit card, a 3% processing fee will be withheld from your refund to cover payment processing costs.

If we have not received notice of cancellation at least 72 hours prior to your event, we will continue with planning and logistics. No refund will be provided after that point, as staff, trucks, and equipment will already be scheduled.

🌦️ Weather & Safety Monitoring

Flexible, fair, and parent-friendly policies for peace of mind — built around safety and real-time Ontario weather.

☁️ Weather can change fast, especially in summer. That’s why we begin monitoring 72 hours before your event and update you if we see concerns on radar or The Weather Network.

🔄 Castle Kid’s No-Hassle Weather Promise:
If unsafe conditions prevent setup, we’ll try to reschedule. If not possible, we offer a full refund for 5mm+ of rain forecasted during your event window — as long as cancellation is requested at least 72 hours in advance.

🌍 Localized Weather Risks:
Our service area spans multiple cities and weather zones. It may rain in one location while another stays dry. We monitor radar and real-time data to ensure safety. If delivery must be cancelled due to severe weather, we’ll notify you. However, if you have not cancelled at least 72 hours prior, planning will proceed and no refund will be provided. Our team must still pay staff for scheduled shifts regardless of changing forecasts.

⚠️ Important: Once we begin planning your delivery — including scheduling staff, loading trucks, and preparing equipment — the full rental fee is due, even if the booking is canceled within 48 hours of the event.

No refunds or discounts will be issued at this point. However, at our sole discretion, Steve may offer a credit if circumstances allow. We always aim to be fair and manage each situation with care and understanding.

🚚 Delivery Policy

We plan to deliver unless safety conditions say otherwise. Light rain or fast-passing clouds don’t stop Castle Kid!

🚚 Yes, We Still Deliver — Even With a Bit of Rain!

We always plan to deliver unless the forecast shows unsafe conditions — like sustained heavy rain, high winds, or thunderstorms. Light rain in the forecast? A short summer downpour that passes? That’s just Ontario weather.

We’ll keep things rolling unless it’s genuinely unsafe. Most of the time, our clients are happy we stuck with it.

🎉 The party must go on — and Castle Kid is ready to deliver fun, even if it sprinkles.

⚠️ Safety & Cancellation

For safety reasons, Castle Kid reserves the right to cancel your delivery if any of the following weather conditions are forecasted:

  • 🌬️ Winds above 24–30 km/h
  • 🌧️ Heavy or persistent rainfall
  • Thunderstorms or lightning

Your family's safety comes first — we will never take risks with weather, equipment, or guests.

🌬️ WIND POLICY

Wind safety is critical. Each inflatable has a clearly marked wind speed limit — typically 24–30 km/h. Always follow the posted label, and be prepared to shut down the inflatable if wind conditions change.

✅ If in doubt — deflate and wait it out. Your child’s safety always comes first.

🚫 DO NOT USE INFLATABLES IN WINDS OVER 24–30 KM/H

Each inflatable has its own wind speed rating — most range from 24–30 km/h. Always follow the safety label posted on your inflatable.

If wind becomes gusty or unpredictable, shut down the unit and deflate immediately. Safety comes first.

SAFE TO USE

Winds below 20 km/h. Light breeze, flags barely move. Follow posted rider rules.

⚠️

MONITOR CLOSELY

Winds between 20–24 km/h. Small branches sway. Prepare to deflate if it worsens.

SHUT DOWN

Winds over 24 km/h or gusty. Tree limbs move, flags extend. Deflate immediately.

When operating an inflatable in your backyard, natural wind protection like your house, fence, shed, or even a neighbor's home may reduce the impact of gusts. Unlike open fields or parks, these barriers can help shield the inflatable.

⚠️ A mature and capable adult must always supervise the inflatable during use.

📋 Wind Safety Operation Guidelines

Every inflatable includes a safety label with maximum rider limits and wind speed restrictions. These rules are not suggestions — they must be followed to protect children and property.

  1. Monitor wind conditions constantly. Winds around 24–30 km/h are enough to straighten flags, shake tree limbs, and carry debris.
  2. If wind speeds exceed the posted limit, shut down the inflatable immediately. All riders must exit for safety.
  3. Do not re-inflate until the wind subsides and you’re confident it’s safe to operate again.
  4. Use judgment during gusty or unpredictable weather. Even below 24 km/h, deflate the unit if conditions feel risky.
  5. Supervision is mandatory. A mature adult must monitor the inflatable and enforce all shutdowns as needed.
  6. Failure to comply may result in rental termination with no refund. Safety is not optional.

🌧️ Procedures You Must Follow During Inclement Weather

It can take time to deflate a bouncy castle — be sure to plan ahead and act early if winds or rain start moving in.

📝 Emergency Procedures

What to do if weather shifts suddenly during your rental. Stay calm, act quickly, and keep the kids safe.

  1. Assess the situation: Are the kids in immediate danger? If so, escort them indoors to a safe location.
  2. Communicate calmly: Let them know you're pausing for weather and it’s not permanent.
  3. Make it a game: Guide them out playfully — use positive distraction to avoid panic.
  4. Shut down early: If wind or rain is increasing, power off the blower and unzip vents to deflate quickly.
  5. Wait it out: After the weather passes, you can reinflate and dry the inflatable with towels.
  6. Safety always comes first: If in doubt, keep it shut down until you’re 100% sure it’s safe.

🏰 Most of the time, kids are thrilled to get back in — even in a slightly wet castle!
